Eid Al Adha - 2013 Announcement

Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) is pleased to announce that this year Eid Al Adha shall be celebrated on Tuesday October 15th 2013 Inshallah. Day of Arafat will be observed by the Hajjis on Monday October 14th Inshallah. Fasting the day of Arafat is highly recommended by the Prophet Mohammed A.S. Br. Ahmed Ismail will be delivering the sermon. Please come early and due to shortage of parking, please carpool.

Basket Ball game with Shaykh Abdul Nasir

Another fun packed Bayyinah event in Tulsa Masjid

Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) is pleased to host Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda from the Bayyinah Institute. Topic is "Dua Night". Do not miss this once in a year opportunity presented by the team of Tulsa volunteers who worked very hard to get this event hosted in Tulsa. Ramadan 2013 announcement

Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) is pleased to announce that the holy fasting month of Ramadan will start Inshallah on Tuesday July 9, 2013. IST follows the position of ISNA and Fiqh Council of North America. Following dates of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr for the year 1434 AH established as follows:
- 1st day of Ramadan will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2013
- 1st day of Shawwal (Eid Al-Fitr) will be on Thursday, August 8, 2013
- First night of Taraweeh will be on Monday, July 8, 2013
Taraweeh prayer shall be 8 rakat. Hafiz Sibtain from Tennessee has graciously accepted our request to come lead the Taraweeh for our masjid.

Prayers and donations for Moore OK

Islamic Society of Tulsa joins Islamic Council of OK (ICO) and Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISGOC) in prayer for the victims of the tornado that ripped through Moore OK and caused severe devastation. We pray for the people of Moore and are working with the ICO and ISGOC to alleviate the suffering of the victims of this natural disaster. We will be collecting supplies at the Mosque today May 21st 2013 between 5pm and 10pm and a group of volunteers will take the supplies etc, to the disaster affected areas with the help of ICO and ISGOC and distribute the needed stuff. If you want to donate money, supplies etc, please contact the Masjid at operations@istulsa.org or call us at 918-638-2670. If you want to volunteer with your efforts and your time, please come visit us at the Masjid at 5pm today.

The Islamic Society of Tulsa invites Tulsans of all faiths to join us for prayers for the people of Boston, especially the victims of the bombing, their families, the spectators, race organizers, first responders, the medical professionals, onsite and in the responding hospitals, law enforcement, the general population and runners everywhere.
For Oklahomans, this is an especially poignant time of year. The OKC Memorial Marathon is this weekend. We hope that you can join us for a few moments to savor our sense of community.

Okla. Interfaith Groups Call for Prayers for Boston Marathon Victims

(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, 4/16/13)—The Council on American-Islamic Relations Oklahoma Chapter (CAIR-OK), the Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Conference of Churches leaders are asking for prayers for those whose lives have been impacted by the bombings in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday, April 15th. Know your Muslim neighbor yearly series

This year, know your Muslim neighbor series presentation will be on the topic of "Do you know this man?". It will include presentations about Holy Prophet of Islam - Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him. The series of lectures are free and open for everyone to attend. Great speakers will be presenting on this topic. Please invite your friends, co-workers and come with your family. There will be a lot of wisdom and knowledge shared using the life of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The lectures will be held at the Mosque on October 15th, October 22nd and October 29th of 2012 (All mondays).


Story Night - By Nouman Ali Khan in Tulsa

Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan - a great motivational speaker who has his charm all over the United States is coming to Tulsa on 9-28-2012. He will be delivering the Friday Sermon (Khutbah) followed by a lunch and learn session.
The main program "Story Night" will start at 7pm and continue until 10pm. It will be held at Peace Academy School.
